Render region to reduce VRam usage?

Hello!
A client of mine has just asked to have a render of a scene I made in really high res but I can't render it because I don't have enough Vram.
Do you know a way I can work it out? "Render region" uses the same Vram or just a proportional part?
Thanks a lot!

No. I uses the memory as render buffer.

Thanks, Aoktar!
Would you know a solution to that? I mean, render farm or any trick? I'm quite desperate here

Can you maybe reduce textures size and double check that you have all the Bump mas, displacements and similar set to Float to save more VRAM.
I've recently rendered scene with few million polys, dozen of million instanced (that uses low RAM), 200+ textures and it was 7800*4500 resolution. Octane reported 3.4GB for rendering.
What GPU you use ?

yes. Ex. if you need 8000x6000 res. Set output as 8000x1000 or 8000x2000, also slide camera by offset parameter in Y. make partial renderings and stich in pshop, etc..

Thanks so much to both of you.
It has not much textures in it but i have a not much Vram. Its a gtx 680 2gb. Im thinking of buying a 780ti 6GB ASAP!
im going to try your trick now and will let you know
thanks again!

Perfect! I have set up the cameras to render the slices. Now its a matter of time... a lot of it
My question then is: 780ti 6gb or any other?¿
Thanks so much again,
Sergio

if you have complex scenes with lot of polygons, big textures, big outputs. Prefer 6gb cards.

There's no such card as 780ti 6GB.. Ti was just 3gb. Anyway 780 6GB is out of production & You'll be happy if You find new anywhere. Around 600$ it's a bargain for the speed & memory it provides. Just slightly faster TitanBlack is going to cost You around 1000$ - not the best value, comparing to 780 6GB. TitanZ after recent price drop to around 1500$ it star making sence ofering almost the speed of two Blacks, but for for price lower than teo TitanBlack..overall if You try to save some money, look for used Original Titans..if You get lucky, You might find perfectly new, unused cards..for lower price, but it's rare to say the least.
