A classical bathroom

My last scene, modeled in MODO801, then exported to Octane and just a little bit of photoshop. I just love how finished are the images right out of Octane :)

I don't like these and rest your images because you do never use PT nor PMC kernel despite your GTX 690... :? :evil:

Hey nuno1980, reading your comments is very boring and annoying! Dont you have anything else to say than repeat constantly "Use PT, use PMC" and so on?

Please do us a favor and stop putting down other peoples work by repeating your phrases on and on!

The stuff PAQUITO shows works very well and a client on the Backend DONT CARES what kernel was used!

I've noticed a trend on this forum putting a lot of focus on what kernel was used and how many samples. These settings are important, but not nearly as relevant as artistic intent, materials used, lighting, quality of models…

It's not appropriate to put down people's work, no matter how you may feel about it. If you don't know how to phrase something in a positive and constructive way, remain silent.

Of course, we're all entitled to our opinions, but basic etiquette should apply when expressing them.

I think he said that as a joke...we want him to make good use of that 690 tho!!! renders looks great anyway!

I really like these renders myself. My only critique would be to have some bump mapping or displacement on the tiles and floor. They look too smooth.

Paquito has shown on many occasions what is possible with DL. I am always impressed with the speed-quality ratio he achieves with this approach. DL is always good for iterative work, but if we can use it for production, so much the better.

I agree. It's all about the speed to quality ratio.

I use PT and pmc for my personal work when I have time for longer renders, but in a production environment fast turn-around is very important and time is a rare luxury. DL is often my goto kernel because it produces pleasing results very quickly. Clients don't care as long as the image looks good, and ultimately, they have the final say.

Of course, that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.
