Fly !

Hi,

Some months ago I posted this in the wip forum but at this time glasses rendering were quite hard and fireflies the hell. So I decided to get a try with that scene and the current Octane release and wow, the scene is lit with an hdr map also used as the background and I got clean results in 1-2 minutes in 1600px !!

What a beast!
Nice project :)
You should do some short animation like a 'bullet time', playing with the focus point and aperture cause the wild thing is small...
That could demonstrate how octane is handling cameras.

That make me remember to ask if/when we can expect an octane floating point image file that we can tonemap (with a batch for animations) or perhaps just calibrated hdr and with some multi-light.

Looking good...
A hint, the unit VA(Volt/Ampere) is for electrical machines like generators or transformators and is equivalent to the power.
Since 1983 is the voltage increased from 220V to 230V, in Europe.

I wounder how you take the time for all your projects.
Especial in this realy good quality.
Hope we will see much more of your work...

Yeaah enrico, you're pushing the envelope every time! Love the idea.

I agree with tchoa: it would be very cool to see a slow motion animation on that!

That's fucking awesome!

I have a minor thing to criticize. Looks like the lead and light bulp fitting hasn't been affected by the destructive force in the form of a fly in the first image. Otherwise absolutely perfect! :o

Thanks for comments.

Yeah, an animation would be nice and I already thought to that, mmm, should really consider it ...

@Face: Well most of the images I publish are made from old projects revisited, it requires some work but once materials are setup and thanks to Octane it's quite fast ;) By the way, I also spend much time on modelling, I just need that for my mental health :)
