Is there any option to export from the setup window and not have to load up the viewport? I couldn't find the button in the setup window.

At the moment you need to open the Viewport to export to OCS/ORBX (using the Export button). The only exception to this is if you "octane.command exportAlembic" - where if you set the Scene Current Range to a single frame, you can export without needing to open the Viewport.
