Hi al I am using 3dsmax 2015. Do I have to buy an Otoy licence for every computer I want to use as a slave?

Hi, If you are using octane network rendering then each slave will need a standalone license. If you are using something like backburner (where 3ds max is actually run and so is the octane plugin) then you will need a standalone + 3ds max license "combo" on each machine.

Yes i also find it odd that you need Standalone + 3dsmax license on a slave. Octane is promising some sort of included slave license per seat, so fingers crossed.

Again, for the "native" network rendering in Octane you will need a Standalone license per slave. No plugin license required.
