As the headline says, Hairfarm or ornatrix I have to get some faster hair plugin for max what is your experience with either one. I tested the hairfarm demo and it was really fast to load the geometry compared to max hair. coud not get ornatrix to work though. but will try to get it to work later. The big advatage with ornatrix is the free render licenses and the price that is low compared to hairfarm.
please give me your thoughts.

i tried hairfarm and hair count does nothing during rendering. only viewport display count works. But if I set my hair count to 20000 my system is so slow. I wish octane would render hair during rendering and not what shows in viewport

Coilbrook it can do that, just check the 'Use Object Render Settings' checkbox in the render Kernel tab.

Thanks. tried the demo of hairfarm and thought it was really quick on loading compared to max hair. maybe I was mistaken by the hair count that wasn´t what I thought it to be though. I have to test again. only thing is you can´t have it installed or you cant open any old file only create new whithout saving
What is your experience on loading time? is it faster than max hair?

I have not tried Ornatrix yet. But hairfarm is amazing, load time is pretty fast and easier to use than max version

I have tried both Hairfarm and ornatrix. hairfarm i fast to load but I´m having trouble to render ornatrix without turning it all to a mesh is there another way to get it to use strands or something more efficient than ad a hair to mesh modifier?
