About Render Passes

Hey all, isn't the 2.1 (the Stand Alone at least) supposed to be able to output render passes?

I found this blog from a while back:
http://render.otoy.com/newsblog/?p=630

Is this feature available on the current 2.x OCDS? Probably not since I've not seen a mention of it and I can't find it in 2.12/4th pre-release. But if it is there and I missed it, I'd be much obliged if anyone could point me to the right place. :)

If the answer is no, this is a question for t_3; will we see render passes capability in future OCDS releases? (not just for stills but animation as well)

It is a very cool feature but no it hasn't been implemented into the DS plugin.

:cry:I'll break it to our VFX guys gently... hahaha

I certainly hope to see the day when it is implemented into OCDS. Octane is an awesome tool for look-dev and can already dish out renders that look like they've been postworked. However, having passes will offer an extra level of control in getting exactly the final look we want, to have this feature in OCDS is going to be really, really sweet.
