Tower of Babylon - Sci Fi Short Trailer

Hey Guys,

here is a little trailer for our upcoming full CG Science Fiction short. This was done in a week as a proof of concept to see how fast we could deliver shots and if we could utilize octane for everything.
One frame took about 1-2 minutes in Octane with 2x Titans

Wow! Very nice! How did you do solar flares and fire. I thought you cannot render this with octane

what kernel did you used and settings...its amazing...how did you do the fire and smoke ...whats it prepossess or straight in octane?

Oh wow I did not see that this thread got bumped until now.
The funny thing is there is a 6 Minute Film sitting on my hard drive for about 6 months waiting to be released, never got around to put the final touches on it. I also keep rerendering stuff!

@Glimpse - Thanks man!

@ Colibook - The solar flares are done in post and the fire is rendered with Turbulence FD inside of Cinema 4D

@ It is Directlighting and took 60 Seconds in 1080p per frame.

The final frames are about 7 Minutes render time. I hope to get to it soon and release the final film.
