Preview viewport black

Hello! My client and student just bought Octane for Modo . When he starts any scene (even just a few primitives), the preview render only shows black. We checked that the camera is selected and not placed inside any geometry, there is a sunlight (daylight enviro), nothing seems to work. We exported the scene as an obj and opened It inside Octane standalone and It works. We also updated the drivers for the 3 titans. He's using the 2.06 btw.
any idea?

Thank you!

Marc

Hi Marc - check the Render Statistics in the Octane Setup panel - are the samples incrementing? You client should also check the Octane Log (button on the Setup window) to see if there are any Octane errors. And is a Cuda device enabled in the Cuda panel (button on the Setup window)? If none of that helps, delete Modo801.CFG.

No samples at all and the log doesn't show anything (just the classic Started logging on 14.11.14 19:36:01 +OctaneRender version 2.05.2 )
Stand alone does work and cuda devices are detected.

Hi Marc

Can you post a screenshot of the Cuda panel in the Octane plugin pls? Have you tried deleting the Modo801.cfg file? What other Modo plugins are installed?

Thanks

Paul

The computer is brand new and Modo 801 (sp2) is a new and fresh install. So the config is brand new as well. I asked my student to send me the infos and screen capture of the Cuda devices and I'll pass them to you. Thank you.

Ok, that's the weirdest thing I've seen... my client's computer kept crashing and having problems when starting, to the point that It wouldn't even start after a couple of days. To make It short, He hooked up his mac monitors to his new PC. There was a conflict, everything runs smoothly since he picked a standard monitor plus Octane works now.
Go figure...
