Hello,

Is it possible to make the background in the LV look black and not checkered if "keep environment" is turned off.

Hello aoktar,

thank for your quick help, but if turn alpha channel off,
i see the hdr in the background or the actual color of the octane background.

I just switched from 1.53 to the newest build and i miss to see a black background if keep environment is turned off,
which makes it more easy to just focus on the object.

Theres 2 screenshots that explain. Picture 1_old ist what i miss and picture 2_new shows the current state.

Any chance to get a black background again?

Besides that, the newest build works very stable and has a very good performance.

We have to add a option for this. I afraid to make the things more complex. If more people would like to have this option, i can add a option. Thanks for comments.

Can´t i just take the checkerboard jpg. and color it black?

no, it's a internal implementation. On older versions, i have not done any alpha operation to show alpha channel. But I'll see it how easy to add a option.

Thank you very much for taking a look into it.

For all who need to have a black Background in LV, not showing transparency or hdr, aoktar included this function now with current build 2.12.2

- New option for LV. "Show alpha", this is a switch for background checkerboard.

Great, thanks for including this as a feature! I personally usually prefer to have a black BG in the live viewer too, so this thread is really helpful to me!
