Hi,
i would like to make sure, with what version of standalone and c4d plugin the object passes work fine.
I'm using standalone v2.11.1 and c4d plugin v2.12.1 and neither the native cinema object passes nor the octane multipass object buffer seem to work fine - native obj pass renders black and octane objectid renders uvw map passes but not the objectpass.
thank you vermuch, have a nice day,
jonas

The multipass system needs to be activated inside Octane and not in C4D's Render Settings.
You go to Octane Settings and chose the Render Passes Tab. There you can chose from a variety of the available passes Octane supports at the moment.

thanks for your reply, i get a black/red object pass render now - is that correct?
how do i get serveral object passes of different objects though?
thank you!
edit: okay i get different colors as well but everything in one single frame. so i would like to have seperate black & white passes for each object ID - is that possible?

For clarification, i have disabled native passes for 2.11/2.12. This is a transation period for new system. We will replace object id's with better system. And native passes will be ignored anymore. I hope this helps to you.

Hi Aoktar,
Any update on the object ID functionality being enabled? I definitely need these passes in our workflow. I'm using 2.16.2 of Octane C4D Plugin. As of right now when the object ID tags are applied via Octane plugin then tick on ObjectID in render passes, there are no multiple object layers. Just one flat ObjectID file with multiple object colors which isn't usable in terms of mattes. At least not to where we're really going to use a key matte on this layer for every color shown. That's just not efficient.
Best,
Tobias
p.s. Using Octane Render Passes literally doubles the render time per frame. What can be done about that?

yes, check 2.20 topic. Now it's possible to generate multiple object mask groups. Development is near to finish.
