exporters

Hi i just downloaded octane beta, and i am using it with sketchup, i have seen a video with a sketchup exporter but i cannot find it on the downloads page or in the forum. where can i get it?

Exporters are not yet available for the demo version, only for the licensed. There's been some talk about making it available, IIRC, but nothing conclusive.

You'll have to export through .obj sketchup exporter (which is basically the same thing that the exporters do)

How can i know if i like this software if i can't test it???? I don't buy if i can't test ... i think it's normal! so.... what can i do?

The most 3d software should have a obj exporter, or use blender, it has many import modules and than export to obj.
First try the "Demo Suite" from the download section.

Thank you for your answer, but i tried the demo, this soft seems very interesting, but i need to test how my sketchup model is manage. I can't buy octane for saw if i like it.

IIRC Sketchup has an .obj exporter. If for some reasons it wont work (it seems that every program has it's little quirks how the exporter is implemented), then try loading with Blender and re-exporting from it, like mib2berlin said.

In this thread people shared their export settings for various 3D packages. I don't know if Sketchup is in there, because I haven't read it all, but Blender (2.49) settings are - I successfully tested the 2.2 demo with it, when I was deciding my purchase.
