Proxy (Network) LiveDB support?

Hi,
for the LiveDB Connection, do you take the proxy server settings from the Cinema 4D preferences into account? Because we have a few workstations that can only connect through a proxy and the LiveDB does not work, even with refractivesoftware.com being forwarded. From the look of it the LiveDB does not connect through the proxy? (It works in general, connections to Maxon to check for a C4D update, for example, work fine through the proxy).
Any ideas anyone?

How about on Standalone? I'm not sure "refractive...." adress. It may be "Otoy".

The address of the LiveDB server is:
live.octanerender.com (or live.refractivesoftware.com).
It uses https so this may cause problems through a proxy.
Unless the proxy is on an OS level (i'm not sure if this is even possible), then octane will not use it.
Authentication is done from the octane core, which does not use a proxy.

I'm having issues with proxy servers also. I'm trying to introduce Octane into a rendering pipeline at an automotive design studio which has to use a proxy server for security reasons. It makes it a pretty hard sell when Octane doesn't play nice with these kinds of corporate IT environments. The only way I have been able to get Octane to even recognize the license is by plugging directly into a separate unsecured network to authorize the license then rejoining the proxy network after.
This annoying workaround has at least allowed me to launch the Octane software to test it on some Automotive data but it still leaves the live DB offline and also makes it hard to swap licenses without being off the main network....disabling the firewall does not help so I'm pretty sure it's the proxy server that is causing the issue.
I've logged a call with OTOY and they have said that they are looking into it so fingers crossed for the future...I think the main issue comes from Octane not being "proxy aware" so it does not know how to authorize on a secured internet proxy system.
