A little personal test project.
I was trying to match the renderings as close as possible to the photographs, so not very much creative output
All images lit by Octane Sun, except for the terrace view (HDRI from Peter Guthrie).
Rendertimes ranged from 2 to 5 hours. Little bit of Photoshop.

Hi Rob,
The outdoor scene has a lot of potential, but imo the first thing that needs work is the glass...
It seems not to be there and the viz needs the realistic of reflection, translucency and so on..
And the ceiling upstairs is very very white.. that looks unrealistic.
Looking forward to see your next step
cheers,

Hey Rappet, thanks a lot for your comments!

I think you would expect more reflections but if you take a look at the original photo you don't see much more.
The leafs in the brighter area are shadows.

Hi Rob,
I still think this exterior is missing glass like something on the right side...
cheers,

Ah ok, now I see what you mean.
I think you got that wrong: these are sliding windows which are all the way opened.
Even if it would be a one piece window there would be a frame visible...
