Light Include or Exclude Object?

Hi Guys!
I know that the topic was discussed a few months ago, however, I want to return to it. To take full advantage of the rendering in Octane we need additional options to the light. The most important of these is the ability to choose which object should be lighted. I think the light is one of the most important elements and it is worth to focus on it. I hope that these options will be added to the current version and not forced to buy a new one.
All the best!

Not yet. This feature cannot be done by plugin, it's a core implementation. And i don't have any clue about future plans of these features.

It is really important though. It might not be useful in archviz, but everywhere else is heavily utilised.

This would be great. Use it a lot in C4D.

Why? Using this makes fake results mostly. You can do some lighting balance on objects by some more real life tricks.
I don't think that will see this feature in a short future. Renderer has not been designed for this.

Light linking (exclude or include) is a very useful feature whether it's for a concept image or a "real world" image.
+1 on having it an Octane feature.

Agreed, would appreciate this feature! Just went to use it on a big project, but sadly not available with Octane.

if u make Product shots...u put about 5-10 Renderings to one togehter.
The workaround is now, 5-10 Renderings.......it would be awesome if this feature will come!
The main problem is the reflection.
If u Have nice Reflection on one of thedetails, it will be not work for other parts........so thats why.
Here is a sample shot, what i did:

+1 also . The feature is necessary for prodicts design rendering, wrong reflections or shadows could make you crazy, we know it's not real but as the matter of fact the main aspect is to done the job in short time...

Thanks for your requests. But this not a thing that plugin developers can do. Also you'll not get exact answers from me about possibilities of this.
Maybe better to ask in standalone or general sections and expect answers from Otoy team.
