OcDS 2.1 PRE RELEASE 2nd
Posted: Tue Nov 04, 2014 9:24 am
ok, so let's forget about the event on friday and give it another shot:
THE FIXES:
+ numerous crashes due to a broken internal copy method
+ i.a. live db downloads were broken because of that
+ loading v1.2 scenes did cause unpredictable results or crashes
+ setting up light sources from the materials' context menu did crash the plugin
+ batch material changes could result in crashes
+ switching uv sets did crash the plugin
+ rgb, bool and enum values did not update the rendering
+ wrong auto focus distance after switching cameras (might be not definitive yet)
+ viewport autofocus center changes were sent to any camera instead only the active one
+ rendersettings custom size and aspect ratio changes were partially broken
+ problems with switching rendersettings- and environment presets
+ environments did not show node type change selectors (i.e. to add images to the hdri environment)
+ texture type selection list grouping was 1 line shifted
+ a few drag & drop actions did not work properly
+ later studio versions send the scene clear event multiple times what did mess up the setup after "new" / ctrl + n
+ gmt direction switched according to a change in octane
+ existing debug log files of 100mb++ sizes could cause hang or crash studio on start
+ a few additional smaller annoyances (in node display and nge)
CHANGES:
+ optimized uv-set changes (no longer needs to recreate materials)
+ saving and loading from/to .duf formats is now enabled
NOTES:
there are a few particular problems with the geometry that i couldn't address right now, also there are some other smaller annoyances, bugs and incomplete features that need to be fixed. like templates, some copy&paste options (i.e. "paste settings"), mix nodes switching and functions in the textures tab (apart from resizing maps they should better not be touched), so expect to see an update in another couple of days.
full installer with all versions and additional files included:
http://render.otoy.com/customerdownload ... Setup2.exe
ps: i will be unavailable during the next couple of hours, just in case...
