Looking for any tutorials or tips for projecting caustic light patterns on a model of the sea floor. Trying to create a very generic underwater environment.
Thanks,
Eric Keller

You will need a water surface (obviously!) then set it as a specular material.
Use the PMC kernel (make sure your caustic blur is not too high). Also using the daylight (rather than texture) environment is a must (or some other powerful small emitter so that it gets "focused" buy the water surface.)

Fooze,
BTW: Does sun size and turbidity matter for caustics?

Yes, any changes to the lighting will change the look of the caustics, including sun size and turbidity.

Thanks for the reply!
Is there's no way to simply project a texture through a light source as in a Gobo?

Your suggestions work great BTW, thanks very much!
