Materials - All Diffuse

I'm using the most recent build of Rhino5 on Win7, 64bit. I've assigned multiple materials to my model using the default Rhino render. When I import my model into Octane, it only pulls in one (1) material. A diffuse material (assigned to all objects) and it comes in pure black. Not even white.

Am I missing a step?

I am seeing an error when I have spaces or other special characters in my material names, do your materials have such names? If they do, what happens if you rename them? This appears to be an Octane issue, as looking at the *.obj and the *.mtl that the exporter (really that Rhino) creates, they are named correctly (with spaces or special characters), and have the correct usemtl assignments. Renaming materials fixed things here. I will ask the Octane team as well to see if they have any insight.

Thanks,
Sam

Sam,

I did have spaces in my material names and hyphens. I've adjusted my material names and I'm not good to go!

Thank you for the help.

Bill
