well we were to get weekly updates....I mean its all the same as in the past really. I'd expect not to see anything ready for the public any time soon. At least nothing usable in any real way.

To be honest I am not that sanguine about the previously promised timescales but I do have, still, a modicum of hope

we can hope for sure. We are getting close to the end of the month.

Yeah no matter the time zone you are in we are officially Oct 31st at this point. I'll settle for an update today. I've finally gotten mentally prepared for my next big project(s) and would love to use 1.5/2.0 for them.

Depending on the dev activities and user feedback i could read here i do not have much hope that we will get an official user tested version today.
but i like to be proved wrong and will be surprised by if....
