Interior rendering tests

Hi,

I've done some interior rendering tests with scene from corona render blog - https://corona-renderer.com/blog/corona-c4d-a1-1/

I've used DL with Diffuse and one quick test (1k resolution) with DL/AO which is super fast :)
The scene was only lit with one HDRI map.

The two 2k images rendered almost three hours each on a single GTX 780 with 16000 samples and are still noisy especially on the second image with lights near the bed.

The third DL/AO version rendered for about 1 minute and was estimated to finish in 25 minutes with 16000 samples.

The images were postprocessed in PS with "Camera Raw Filter".

Should change to PT or PMC kernel to more realistic. ;)

I'm interested this scene. :) Do I want download OBJ?

I'll try PT or PMC for sure to finish the test. :)

You can download this scene and convert it to obj.

Is there an optimal numer for this or I have to experiment? :)

Noise is clearly visible on the back wall next to lamps and ceiling. So to reduce rendering time (PMC) use region render where you see greater noise.

Nice.

Nice images overall! =) svn if dislike DL..

I was always curious, to see how OctaneRender performs side by side with Corona..(they have a lot of similarities in terms of how You work with them) - would be interesting to download the scene & get the same mood, almost the same image out of Octane to make comparison =)

Here is a 1k PT version. Rendered for about 2 hours at 16000 samples. Lighting is better comparing to DL/Diffuse especially at corners of the room :)

Much much better. PT FTW :)

Do you mind posting the scene (if you can export it) as orbx file so that we could play with it in standalone?

I don't know as it is not my model and I don't know if I can share it on other website. But you can download it as C4D file from the page below:
