Hi all, been playing on the demo for weeks, getting up to speed and everything was working fine. Took the plunge and purchased and installed, both the standalone and carrara plugin, went ahead and activated both the standalone and the demo, and it says it's activated, but now won't render anything at all. Sticks at 0 passes nothing happens when I unpause the window except that the 'paused' messages goes away.

Also can't access the online database of octane materials. When I try, it freezes Carrara and Octane windows up downloading the very first material (makes the folders for it, but loads it with 0 bytes) and I have to use the task bar to crash Carrara. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Demo worked absolutely fine, no problems at all...

Looking closer at the bottom corner of my octane plugin render, I'm guessing the plugin isn't seeing anything within the scene, since it's showing 0 textures and 0/0/0 MB used on the memory bar. Very confused on what to do to make this work like it should...

For anyone else who runs into this problem, I think I finally (after a *lot* of time spent chasing my tail) figured out what the problem was. I saw an earlier thread from Jay Nola where he had a similar problem and didn't see resolutions.

Apparently this doesn't happen for everyone, or else it would probably be part of the installation instructions, but for me apparently when I installed/activated the real Octane plugin instead of the demo, it deactivated my GPU. I found when going into the settings window (same place you activate but different tab) and the 'devices' tab that my Geforce was unchecked. Obviously since Octane only uses GPU and the only GPU on my computer was unchecked, it couldn't do anything. Once I checked it to active, seems to render now...

Great to see you were able to get it working. don't forget to download the materials from the settings LiveDB tab
