hi

i use forest pro and the plants from hqplants + the material converter tool in octane - it works ok, but the leaves look quite unreal. i tried to lower the opacity, but this does not look right.

does anyone know how i get more realistic looking leaves? is a falloff texture the way to go?

thanks :-)

Use a Mix Material with Glossy and Diffuse (same textures for both nodes).
In Diffuse you can put either your main RGB Map or a green color in the translucency slot.

hi robsteady

by 'translucency' do you mean the 'transmission' node in the diffuse material?

thanks :-)
