				what are the advantages of use OpenSubDiv vs the inside SubSurface Subdivision modifier of Blender?

				I found no difference in rendering time or memory saving, but currently openSubDiv crashes the the server off and on. It will take a few iteration before one can see major difference. 
Technically OpenSubDiv should speed up results and reflect in faster and better organic surfaces with very good memory response.

				do some research on Opensubdiv,its created by Pixar.  It creates much lower polycount by removing polys that dont actually add detail.  It also does it dynamically, so when animating a character, it does it on the fly, dramatically increasing viewport performance.
In some models, especially not that high poly ones there might now be much difference.
