This is a test with Octane for Max 2.1, soon I will check if the animation is ok.
Statistics:
Max 2014
4XTitans 1st generation
sun+hdr
about 18 minutes for each frame (1920x1080)
4000 samples/pix
PT
coherent mode
0,3 caustics blur
Dreamscape
Forest Pack Pro
Issue:
after some test renders If I try to close Max then it crashes (old issue)
regards

Great island-boat scene and great renders ofcourse.
I remember your previous animation of this scene in older Octane version.. That was amazing.
Cannot wait to see the next one
Edit: next year will be "Return of the 62MT"?

Love it. Are the waves a texture or geometry? As Elvis stated - with caustics would be a kickass.

Just wondering of to realize this. It means including reflections from the water hitting the yacht, right?
Great Render!

PT can't focus caustics. I'm asking for this feature.
This is an old scene and I haven't used proxies or displacement. I will add palms and rocks because I need it for another scene.
The tree models used here occupy 300MB. Finally we have proxies and they work very gook.
In the old animation I used PMC but it flickered, I will check if the coherent mode is ok for sequential frames.
PT + coherent + GI clamp set to 1 produces solid renders in few minutes.

I can already see a shader implemented for this. In the end, Octane will be as biased as any other renderer...shader here, shader there, 'coherent mode' for 'noise reduction' ....

Looking great, I like water/sea very much. Can you share your material setings/screen for that kind of water ? Thanks.
