Still 1,5 GB ram

(, it could have at least 2 GB.

1.5 gb ram is certainly a disappointment, but hey! its still a speculation lets wait for an official announcement, but if i were to go by these rumors i would say
gtx 580 is nvidia's correction for the gtx 480.

Looks like a great card for CUDA/compute apps, 15% faster than GTX 480:
If I said the GTX 580 was 15% faster, would anyone be shocked? So long as we’re not CPU bound it seems, the GTX 580 is 15% faster through all of our compute benchmarks. This coupled with the GTX 580’s cooler/quieter design should make the card a very big deal for distributed computing enthusiasts.

Check this link:

I mean even if you manage to push it up to 1GHz its around 34% faster (it doesn't have to go all the way up to 1,157 MHz)..... just can't wait to get it.

Apparently there are 560 and 570's on the horizon too!
The 570 is due to be released quite soon with 480 cores (same as gtx480)
The 560 is estimated early 2011 with 384 shaders
So anyone wanting a new GFX card might be worth holding out and should at least see a price drop on the current 4xx series.
Oh and beware of the 460 SE model. This has higher clock rates but fewer shaders making it more than likely perform worse in Octane!
