manta ray bot

tried to add displacement to this model, but the render kept on failing, or freezing..
- anyway, slight SSS shading with marble and turbulence

Beware to use a low poly model before displacement ! and don't use a huge value, that will help ... good luck ;)

yeah, but it shouldn't depend on polygon number.. a single poly can have a hiigh res displacement..
although I do have a shell on that mesh.. will try that with a retopo maybe

Updates, in a SSS environment/volumetrics

..volume SSS material> schlick phase to 0.36, marble texture in scattering texture set to 0.2 (doesn't seem to show that much), scale 13 / IOR 0.99
the first image was on PMC 8 hours

this one in DL AO, path term power 0, coherent mode.. 6 hours, ran it through nik tools and denoised
