3DS Max showing textures

Does anyone know why Octane does not preview textures on meshes? Not in viewports, not in material slate editor. It's pain in the ass to adjust textures. Em I doing something wrong ?
I am using 3DS Max 2013, Octane 1.2

Thanks!!

Have you turned on "Show Shaded Material in Viewport" for the material in the material editor?

That button is disabled. I can't click on it. It happens when I assign Octane as a render engine. Also 3DS Max doesn't showing any thumbnails in Slate editor, so its very difficult to work with materials.

click on the RGBimage node first, select any texture you want to show on the mesh, might be in the bump channel, it doesn't show up if you select the shader node as you already tried..

.. yes this should be fixed

- I think there was a script somewhere to show all diffuse textures on meshes (wasn't working for me..)

Thanks for an answer Acc24ex but I am not sure if I get your point.. Is there a way how to fix it?

That's what I need!
When you convert V-Ray scenes it automatically disables the viewport preview for every material...
Already posted this issue a few times in the bug reports forum but got no feedback whatsoever
