No Animation/Geometry Update in Octane

Hi All,

i just have tested my new PC (with 2*GTX 980) with Octane Standalone, but also in 3ds Max. As i have seen this in many videos now, shouldn`t Octan update at least Geometry Translation automatically? I have seen demos, where Octane in 3ds Max is updating while scrubbing through the timeline?
Second, is it right that whenever i want to render an animation (in 3ds mac or Standalone) Octane has to import the whole scene, textures e.g for EVERY single frame? i am not sure (don`t have the scene anymore), but i think i have already rendered an animation out of the Standalone Version without calculating the wohle scene "frame by frame"?

thanks in advance
Ben

Hi
1.
There's a secret option needs to be turned on to see the animation of objects in preview window.
Right click menu -> Octane properties -> movebale(LOL) proxy
With this option on, Octane will recalculate the mesh each frame even when it's only a static one.
2.
No it's not true, Octane will keep reusable resources in VRAM but recalculate/re-import changed ones.
