I would like to report bugs. Should I use this forum, or is there some kind of incident tracking system?

Yep, this is a pain but Carrara does not raise an event when you change the Render camera. A better work-around is coming that allows you to pick your camera from the Octane Viewport.

Ok, that is odd. It should not trigger a rebuild, I will investigate.

Hmm, I cannot reproduce this behavior. It is likely that I have fixed it when I implemented the camera chooser in the ORVP.

Hi Sighman,
Wendy has done an animation with Octane which I think you should see, firstly as it looks good, but secondly as near the end there is some artifacting on the entrance to the tunnel which apparently doesn't happen in other renderers. I don't yet have this set, but thought I would flag it to you in case it is an Octane issue (it could be caused by the geometry too).

I'm afraid that is a problem with octane and not the plugin specifically. You would have better luck posting the question on the general forum. It is likely a geom. issue. Normals perhaps?

I had a similar issue once and here is what led up to it:
1. I loaded the model into Octane. The model had some issues, so I had to keep going back to my modeling application to make changes. One of the issues was that the model was coming into Octane overly smoothed, and I haven't yet figured out how to smooth the objects as I would like while within Octane. I did this about 6 times. Needless to say, Octane was made to see this mesh multiple times with multiple smoothing settings.
2. After one of the re-imports I found that this issue Wendy observed was occurring.
3. The solution, was to completely close Octane, and then to restart it.
4. Once I restarted Octane I reloaded the same mesh and it looked fine.
Hope this is helpful.
