Very nice!
Where the feet meet the floor is not convincing yet.
Maybe some contact shadow and/or some color blending would add to the realism.
And the scale of the background is not correct.... the character is too small.

To be fair, he did say that this was a 'shader' test. If this thread was titled 'War Machine attends a piano recital' then it would be an issue.

@sathe: I believe that the shade of grey chosen is too lite regardless of the lighting. The gunmetal portions of the suit should be much darker, almost black. Also, try recreating the Iron Patriot paint scheme from the movie as an additional challenge.
