Please if possible add a check box in the octane sun that will prevent it from being isolated. When I work on a large scene and I need to isolate something to adjust texture I always have to find octane sun in viewport and select it too or octane preview will be dark.
Some scenes are so big and slow that once you select and object you want to work on and isolate it then you have to move around the slow scene to find the octane sun

Hi coilbook,

Try adding the sun to a selection set of its own. Once you isolate the item you want, get the sun selection set, it's only a click away.

Thanks a lot for advice!

also - set the enviroment color to white or set some HDRI - when the sun is not present it switches to the environment so you get something at least (also I made a sun button in maxscript and select sun button - for just this same problem..)
