CUDA Error 702

I have a frustrating issue happening recently in a project. I'm getting these really long lag spikes, followed by an error from Octane prompting me to look at the render logs. Sometimes though, it will just suddenly shut down C4D, or worse still, shut down my computer entirely. The log file is attached below.

The scene I'm working with is large, world units are in feet, and a couple large objects are using displacement textures at around 1024x1024. I've also included the scene file to look at.

I can render it without error. What's your gpu(s)? i think cuda error which is given for displacements. What say this line? Looks like a TDR timeout error, but i'm not sure. Because this is not visible by plugin. Generated by Cuda part.
"CUDA error 702 on device 0: The device kernel took too long to execute. This can only occur if timeouts are enabled. The context cannot be used anymore and must be destroyed. All existing device memory allocations from this context are invalid and must be reconstructed."

I have a titan black gpu. I'm not sure how I can change the timeout for the kernel.

im getting the same issue and error as Aoktar posted. I am running 6GB 780's and only had a few displacements in the scene. LV oonly showed ~1.3 GB used.

Was there an NVIDIA update recently? I can't figure out why this would be happening so suddenly. On the mac side, there's no notice of updates, they just get downloaded in the background. On the PC side there have been a few I've noticed in the past month or two.
