Demo not working in 3dsmax 2012/2014

Hi,
latest demo is not working in 3dsmax 2012/2014. When I set the renderer to Octane and then open material editor, 3dsmax freezes when I choose Octane materials. When I do not set Octane as renderer for material editor, 3dsmax will not freeze, but I can do nothing. No rendering, no previews, only black screen and when choosing "octanerender viewport" I see only checker map.
When using standalone version, I can open sample scenes downloaded from the website and render works, no problem. The problem is that standalone application is a little bit useless for me, need to work with Octane inside 3dsmax.
Any help appreciated.

It also looks the demo (1.20) available on the website is quite outdated? No displacement, SSS etc.?
