As stated in subject, when you create, for instance, a c4d noise or gradient in an Octane texture and apply it to a model, it works pretty well. However, save that file and load it into a new scene as an xref, and those will no longer show up, on the model.

i'm going to check a xref as you said.
Edit: it looks as working, what's your version? Or how is your scenes?

Whoa, 2.01! I didn't realize updates were done so often, or at least that an email or update warning doesn't go out when a new version is available. I'll update and see what happens.

I updated to 2.05 and it's currently working now. Thanks! I'll check the forum every morning for updates from now on.

X-particles has found a way to do this, somehow. When I load cinema, I get an updater with all the changes in a dialog and it updates itself without any user interaction other than clicking "update". I don't know if you can use the same methods or not, but I can put you in touch with Mike Bachelor or someone else to perhaps get some info. Are you on the C4D beta forums as a 3rd party vendor? I haven't seen anyone from Octane on there, but that doesn't mean much.

yes, i'm aware XP's method but i have no idea how does. I'm on contact on Mike for some support. Also in 3rd party developper's forum of maxon as a_oktar. Updater will take some effort, i'll check it in a free period.
