only render region when pick focus off

I only get the bottom left part of my render in the viewport as soon as i turn off pick focus region.

It happens quite often but is resolved with a restart of maya.

Just realised this might be by design. It uses the last(?) region drawn in the viewport. Not only to set focus but also for render region.
