Unless I'm not understanding the question, if you set the camera in Poser for a really low angle, you have to make the ground invisible, OR 'unhide' the DollyY dial and lower it.

Hi,

I think your understanding.

if you set the camera in Poser for a really low angle, you have to make the ground invisible,

>>>>>>>>> do you mean make the octane ground opacity 0?

OR 'unhide' the DollyY dial and lower it.

What do you mean by "low angle" mean pls? Are you referring to the camera position, or the angle (as in "field of view")?

worms eye view. Opposite of birds eye view.

worms eye view. Opposite of birds eye view.
Go into the Poser camera parameters and move the "Focal" slider (whilst the Octane Viewport is open) and then readjust the camera position to fit.

ah, ha.

yes, seems to work, after I do that + set the near clip depth to zero.

Not much of a fan of that clip depth control slider - seems to jump, hang, or freeze when
adjusting.{ using 1.20 }

Solves that anyway, good.

thanks

When I set my camera really low, like below ground level looking up (I do that occassionally), I usually uncheck the ground visibility in Poser OR set the ground opacity to 0 in the plugin. Don't usually need a ground with those shots anyway. If I do need a ground for some reason, I unhide the DollyY parameter in Poser and lower it to clear the camera...maybe angle it abit to capture some of the back of it in the render. To unhide dials I use:

If you want a strictly ground level view (not below), Paul got you going...
