Octane is great, and works fine with my C4D environment. Great idea porting to the poser/mac!!!! Thank you very much.

One question (I am new in the poser issue):
I downladed the file, made the installation, but when octane window (embedded in poser account) needs an ID:
Is there a special octane poser TEST or demo ID? Found none for purchase, there is no Mac/Poser Plugin 2.0 in the purchase list yet?

Thanx for your kind help. ;)

kind regards ...

Hi nibbler - the OSX version of the Poser plugin is not "officially" 100% tested (ie. no one has actually reported back that the crash is fixed), so it's not available from the Otoy store right now - however the Windows plugin license can be purchased and used on the OSX version.

Hi Paul,

thank you very much for your feedback. Wish, the official OSX version of the poser plugin 2.x would be published close in time. That really would be great.
Do you know, if I'd purchase the Windows Version, it would be possible to "transfer" the account to the future final release osx version, when officially published? (Un)fortunately I do not work on Windows ;)

By the way, what are the crash issues at the moment? ;)

Thanx in advance.

Kindly nibbler

Hi Nibbler - you can purchase the Windows version of the plugin and use it's license on the OSX version. The one OctaneRender for Poser license will work on either Windows or OSX. The OSX crash was when changing node types. I believe this has been fixed, but not had any confirmation yet from the users experiencing this crash.

Spent about 4 hours with the mac plugin last week and had no crashes.

Hi, I see the Poser Plugin for Mac is now out of testing. Is there a demo version that I could try? I only ask because I've had issues before with the demo version of the plugin as well as issues with Poser > Octane.

When I tried to install the previous plugin, it would make a new folder 'Poser Pro 2014 > Runtime > Python > addons > OctaneRender for Poser'. And I'm running Poser 10. I've contacted you before with this issue and you provided the files so I could manually install them in my Poser 10 runtime, but even then I had issues.

My other issue is currently when I export out of Poser as an OBJ file, it does create an MTL file as well. But when load the OBJ into Octane, it would always ask me for the location of certain materials.

I am running MAC OS X Mavericks, and using Octane 2.06

I just wanted to verify that it would run properly before I purchase it. Looking at the demo on Youtube, it looks like an awesome plugin. :)
