Hi all, first gallery post!
This is a final proof render, still a bit grainy but each image rendered out in under 10 minutes, oh and this is using Ambient Occlusion, not bad for plain old AO I think. (with some Photoshopping, of course)
p.s. I'm not really happy with the throw blanket but can't be bothered fixing it, client happy with it.

Looking really nice, especially for that rendertime. can you post render without postproduction maybe ? What's your kernel/camera settings?
Looks very crisp (what i like), so far whatever i tryed on at octane for interiors it's little too soft for my looking so must be my material settings.
thanks

Thanks. I created the scene/composition. Aside from the architecture, most of the models were royalty free stock models, a few of which I modified for this scene. A couple I custom modelled ie. the ensuite & kitchen cabinetry and countertop. All modelling done in Lightwave 3d. Here are the final shots. I will post the straight renders (no post) soon and render information ie kernel, camera settings and anything else I think might be useful. I do try and have my final images nice and crisp but this is probably due to post more than anything else.

good composition but photorealistic speaking AO is fake.
try with PT and you will get better lighting.

I'm with Gabriel. There's no way AO is ever going to work with interiors. Ever. It's just wrong. Everything else is great. I'd flip on PMC and let it rip. The difference will be huge. Easy fix to photo real.
Good luck
Alec

And those dining chairs are my one of my favourites.
I hate to see them like that. So here; I know they're in Max, but perhaps you can find a way to translate them into Lightwave.
Especially if you plan to render these in PMC. You're going to need something stronger. =]
best,
