Camera scaling problem

I'm running into an issue with camera scaling in Poser vs. Octane - I'm running the Mac 1.5 build, which I see on the forums isn't technically supported but this seems like a generic issue. Basically, in my Poser scene I've scaled the camera to something other than 100, but after receiving a prompt from Octane I change the scale back to 100. Nothing updates in Octane (the scale of the camera still reads as 92, nothing I change in Poser adjusts this). I've changed the scale of all of the cameras to 100 just to be sure, but still with no results.

Otherwise, everything else seems to be working fine, except for a few eye textures I'm having trouble with, but that's a separate issue.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Howdy!

Not a MAC user, but, on the main plugin page under settings, there is (at least for windows) an option to use scaled cameras.

Also the thing with the eyes is the corona...and my initial fix was to use the LiveDB (under Misc) clear corona (I'm unsure of the exact labeling...but it'll be easy to spot) and cleared the problem right up. Once solved, you can export the corona as a .poe for future use.

Hope this helps!

I think you mean "cornea"? ;)

Typically I use a Specular material with reflection and transmission set to 1 for this, and roughness set to 0. You can adjust the reflectivity/refraction by changing the "Index" value. The index of refraction for water is about 1.33, but it can increase when it contains solutes and is under pressure (as in the human cornea).

A standard V4 figure also has an "EyeSurface" material, which should probably set to opacity = 0.

Myself, and other Mac users have been getting Poser OS X crashes when changing node types. If this is NOT happening to you, which version of OS X are you on pls?

Hi Paul - I've had no issues there whatsoever. I'm running OS X v. 10.9.4. If there's anything you'd like me to test out specifically I'm happy to do so!
