gradient problem

im having a trouble rendering a gold material, i always get this step-like gradient in the darkest parts of render.
the problem is that when i try to render in a small resolution (like 2000x1000) with like 5000-7000 samples - i dont get those steps..
but when i set resolution to 10000x5000 - i always get this problem.

i tried making my hdri like 5 times bigger, bit more blurred and even with some noise added, just in case.. but the result is the same.
i dont use post-effects (bloom or glare).
im my gold material i got rid of most channels, that could have done this.. have only diffuse/specular/roughness left, w/o and channels/textures inside.
and i still get these stripes in gradient.
tried rendering 8bit and 16bit in tiff or png.. no use

please help :(

render settings->buffer type = float(tonemapped)
