hi first
i tried to use octane 1.2 (edu) on my pc that have GTX860m (maxwell one) but it says "cuda gpu not found.
this is a Screenshot
then i tried octane 2.1 release with demo and it workd like a charm
i'm using windows 8.1 OS
if there are someone who have gtx860-870-880 series gpu, please help me
how can i solve this

Maxwell support is very new .. you won't find support for it in 1.2 to my knowledge.

hmm, but in octane 2.1, there is no problem with maxwell right ?

i'm thinking about windows 8.1, maybe it causing this problem ?

I can't say 100% that You will not have any problems with new build..but Maxwell support came not so long ago =)
take a demo of 2.0 & try for Yourself to know for sure =)

if it woks good, commercial version will too as it already got few updates since release of demo =)

yes, 2.0 demo is working, there is not problem with that, but i'm a student here, just reach the 1.2

I think for students 1.5 will be handed with time (as I remember & I'm not mistaking something =)
& Maxwell support came for it too =) so, just wait a bit..

mmphh thats too bad, i dont think there is 1.5 coming for educational
but i should wait then, with a little hope
