Help with more realism

I use both Poser and DAZ and I render my images with Octane. However I am very unsatisfied with my results. I know I am missing something because I see other peoples render with Octane and some of them are really epic. I took a screen shot of my characters face in Octane daylight.

I would appreciate all the help I can get to improve my art. Thank you.

Hey alienintheship,

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you're not using any SubSurface Scattering(SSS). Give it a try, that should already add a lot more realism.
Then something pretty obvious: give her some hair, it looks a bit alien like without it right now. I see you're using 2.0 which has some nice hair improvements.
As a last tip, personally I prefer using HDRI images as lighting. They give a lot more little color nuances in the final render. Something a simple daylight system can't really give you.

LOL! This is a test render and I draw hair by hand during post work so don't worry they don't end up coming out
looking like an alien hahha.

Thank you for the tip and you are right I never used SSS and always stick with bump map which looks
awful on skin. Oh, I do use HDRI and I am really fond of it. Didn't use it in this quick render though.
Again, thank you for taking the time to help. Greatly appreciated.
