Rounded Edges in 2.0? How?

Hello, I am using 3dsmax plugin, recently upgraded to 2.0.
Among new options in diffuse materials I can see "rounded edges" value from 1 - 100.
But when I use it on any edgy mesh, it does nothing in render. In general I couldnt make it work at all.
What am I doing wrong?
I use nvidia 780 card with 3gigs of ram. 3dsmax version 2012

hey,
would check if the mesh is a single mesh (connected) and then maybe check the normals - just a guess...

Check vertices if they are welded. Try unifying normals (put all polygons in the same smoothing group)
