				How to Network Rendering ?
(Limited 12 GPU - Including Master Station)
0. Master (C4D, Not Standalone. No Need Standalone)
Check YOUR IP Address (This is Octane Master IP. Daemon Scan Range)

1. Slave
   Install octane standalone
2. Slave
   Run Command Prompt(Run As Administrator)
   Change Dir c:\program files\OTOY\OctaneRender 2.00\
   Run Command

octane_slave --net-master-port 21000 --net-master-address Your_IP
   (ex : octane_slave --net-master-port 21000 --net-master-address 192.168.0.24)
Auto Change Daemon Scan Range 192.168.0.1 ~ 192.168.0.254

Run C4D. Open Live Viewer. Check Menu > Updates > Network Rendering
   ReRun C4D. That's IT...

				hi,
thanks for tips...
to easy use you create on ddesktop(or wherever) a shortcut of "octane_slave.exe"
right click on this shortcut >properties> and add in target field :" --net-master-port 21000 --net-master-address 192.168.0.xxx"
(eg:"C:\Program Files\OTOY\OctaneRender 2.00\octane_slave.exe" --net-master-port 21000 --net-master-address 192.168.0.111)
dont loose the space aftre ....\octane_slave.exe"SPACE--net-master-port....
cheers

The overhead is much worse than expected.
With a 1Gb/s network, so ~100MB/s bandwith, octane only uses about 3MB/s in each direction.
Is this a setting somewhere we missed?

Hello! I use Cinema 4D R15 and Octane 2 (2.03 - standalone, 2.01 - for cinema 4d). And I have 2 computers with licenses. I need use Network Render in Cinema 4D via Octane plugin for Cinema 4d.
If I do like you, then I see "Lunching bla-bla-bla...", but if I run "Start Daemon....." so I see my parametrs (port and ect.), but Octane for Cinema 4D don't use 2nd computer (write me: "other version" or "unavailble"), but I have same version.
Please, Help me!(

I got the network rendering working in the standalone app, but inside C4D I only get "Invalid Version" under status. Is it something to do with the C4D plugin only being version 2.03 and the standalone is version 2.04? I don't see any other 2.x versions to download for either one..
