OctaneRender™ for Blender 1.55 - 4.10 beta Win [OBSOLETE]

OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin. Windows x64 version.

The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

The first part (server) should be run on the same computer as the second one. To stop the server - just right-click its icon in the tray.
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address (only 127.0.0.1 at the time), login and password (your license key info) to activate the server. After the first rendering the server will remember this activation info, and you will not need to enter it again.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).

FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE
  • 1.55 engine.
  • Few bug fixes...

After starting OctaneServer it will take some time before the LiveDB tree and LiveDB material previews will be available from Blender - as OctaneServer caches the LiveDB data from remote server right after starting. But only the materials groups tree will be re-cached every time after server start, LiveDB material preview images will be cached only once - so only the very first OctaneServer start will need some more time before LiveDB tree will be available in Blender.

Hi,

Thank you very much for this update. Tried texture building and seems working perfectly. Created texture in blender, paint in blender, with edit in photoshop, save from multi-software during still open in blender, all good !!!

Thank you JimStar !!!

Hi Jim,

Duno if you managed to fix the bug relating to the tree instances (http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 30#p187844), if so I made a test and the problem is still there. If not, do you have an idea of the delay for a fix to this problem ? I suspended the project waiting for a solution but if it takes to long I'll have to switch to the standalone.

Thanks

Enrico, it was just quick fix release, I'm still working on Maya 2.0... Right after it - I will start working on Blender again, it will not take a long. But I'm in vacation from today...

Ok, so take some good time during your well deserved vacation ;) I'll check later on and will try to work on something else in the meanwhile.

First I want to make 1.5 branch absolutely stable. After that we can start 2.0 branch...
So, I think there will be still few new 1.5 releases out, containing all little bug fixes, and then 2.0 will be started based on this stable branch... It will not take too long.;)
