Hello,
Does anyone know how to make something like this in Cinema/Octane, brushed metal in two direction + shines.
In attachment is my model + desired texture.
I pay for lunch the person who help me
I try to play with uv but is difficult because geometry is imported from ProEngineer is not native cinema 4d.
Thank in advance
Aleksandar

hi, Aleksandar,
I've wrote a bit about the way to get this look a while ago for other user =) basically all You need is to unwrap and pain out texture, mimicking surface properties =) that would be the most precise way =) I've attached fast sketch out there, with a bit of tweaking You can get pretty close to desired result =)
hope it helps =) here's the thread:

You can - as well - make it procedural.
Use one of noise textures and stretch it so much that it gives you lots of thin lines.
Test various types of noise, different contrast values and so on.
Use this noise for bump, and maybe for diffuse in multiply mode if you need it too.
Take your time, play with it, you'll learn alot.
You may need to use different texture mapping methods for different parts of your watch model. So you may need to selects some polys, set selections for them and than map the texture in the most suitable way on those selections. I don't think that applying texture to the whole model would give good result.
As Glimpse said - index value should be at 1.0.
