Multiple GPU's and PSU

Hi,
I just got a GTX 690 and want to use it along with a GTX 670. I have a 750w PSU currently and I'm wondering if this is enough to power both?
Cheers.

that's pretty tight....but should do
Nvidia lists the max power draw, and its usually pretty close
My PSU has an app that will tell how much it is drawing....and with 1 590 and 2x 470 it is about 1100 watts.
But the 590 is 360 watt draw and the 470's are about 300 each = 960 watt + 140 watt overhead for CPU fans
Your 690 is listed at 300 watt max , and the 670 at 170 watt max = 470 watt + 140 watt for overhead = 600 watt
so you should have power to spare as long as you are not maxing out your CPU while rendering with the GPU's
I need to get rid of my power hog 470's......

Hi electric_eric,
You should be ok for Octane usage since the GPU draws less power with Octane than for instance most games. Test & see. Intensive gaming might be a different story. But remember you'd want to run the monitor seperately from your dedicated Octane cards otherwise you'll see lots of lag while trying to do other stuff when Octane is rendering.

I've struggled with this issue a few times. I'm jealous of the power analysis app! Where can I get one of those? What I'm curious about is what happens if you do overload the psu. Will it just shut down the computer, or will bad things happen?
btw, it's amusing that someone with "electric" in his name is the one asking the questions. Mind you, my name's dace and I'm allergic to fish, so I shouldn't throw stones...
