hi ,

as we all know object do not have anim data
and alembic , while having animations and vertex deformation do not support material ( only come with one material )
do not want to use teh script with obj sequence .. since iw ould not get motion blur on the vert deformation
i am super frustrated right now and look forward to any help

thank you

I'd be interested in the recommended method for exporting animation from Maya to Octane standalone too.

What are the pros and cons for alembic vs ORBX.
What is supported on export etc.

How one goes about exporting the ORBX format etc.

Use standard Maya's "File/Export All" menu. And choose Octane alembic export type.

hi JimStar ..
if you do it this way .. then you only get one material in your scene .. i want to export all my object with all the material assignment ( not octane shader .. just the material .. to be able to recreate it in stand alone )
