Bake displacement to polys tool?

As octane doesn't yet generate geometry with displacement maps I've been looking around for a tool that can take some geometry and a displacement map and bake the displacement as extra polys ready for octane. Vue has this feature (called bake to polygons) but only in the infinite version, which I don't have
I do have Hexagon 2.5 and Blender but can't see this feature in either piece of software. Does anyone here know of anything other than Vue Infinite that can do this?

In Blender assign a subsurf modifier + displace modifier with UV mapped displacement texture, and there you have it. You don't have to bake displacement into the model, because the Octane exporter will apply viewport (not render) modifiers on export.

Fantastic, thanks for the quick reply. I'll give it a go.

Before rendering due you need to ensure that you enable view of displacement map applied onto the model in the viewport, or due you only need to enable the render option?
p.s. apologies for the ridiculously worded question(!)

The exporter applies the viewport modifier levels, not the render ones. A little counterintuitive, but thats how it is....
