Best Kernels for shallow DOF?

Is there a "best" Kernal for resolving the Bokeh effect when using shallow DOF?
And if so what are the settings that make it work well (Thinking of PMC here)
Thanks

As far as i`m concerned bokeh is something for post-proc
pmc or Pt won`t make it possible I think
try playing with the aperture edge

Personally I haven't noticed any difference in speed
(between PT&PMC), caused by usage of shalow DOF =)
in certain conditions OctaneRender can output very beautiful Bokeh
(should try to play with post effects to tweek even further next time)

Would be cool if, along with the current Aperture Edge feature, there was an Aperture Blades feature that let us simulate the iris blade count of real camera lens. Oh, and lens flare, too, please — since this is turning into a feature request post

Thanks for the replays. I always seem to run into more headache using Post DOF , edge artifacts and the like. I will have to give it another shot maybe using 32-bit EXRs for the Depth pass will help.
Does anyone out there know if it is possible for that area of the code to be optimized? It would be really amazing to have some updates after 2.0 that add features to the camera.
